Student-Alumni Roundtable with Ashish Lal of BDT Capital

Join us for lunch with Weinberg alumnus Ashish Lal (WCAS '98) of BDT Capital Partners

Mr. Lal graduated from Northwestern with a double major in MMSS and Economics. After graduation, he worked at LEK Consulting for four years across business strategy, corporate finance and M&A assignments in their Chicago, London and Tokyo offices. After LEK, Ashish worked at Charlesbank from 2002-10 on several platform investments in the consumer, retail, distribution and manufacturing sectors, and took two years in between to pursue his MBA at Wharton. In 2011, he joined BDT & Company, a merchant bank that advises and invests in founder owned and family-controlled companies, where he is now a Principal. At BDT, Ashish has been involved with the firm's investments in Tory Burch LLC, Tudor Pickering, Holt & Co., and KIND Healthy Snacks, and oversees its relationships with several large family-controlled companies in India.

Mr. Lal will share lessons he learned on his journey from Weinberg to consulting to private equity, and answer your own questions about how to prepare for and navigate a successful career.
